Haad Kwang Pao Beach

Nakhon Si Thammarat-Thailand

Haad Kwang Pao Beach

Just got back from my break and have got some lovely photos of places I have visited.

Today we start with Haad Kwang Pao Beach, which when i arrived there was empty and I had the place to myself, heaven! But for how long?

Haad Kwang Pao beach is about 14 kilometer in the north of Khanom it is well posted from the main road.

The beach itself is formed like a halfmoon and fine sandy. some resorts and beach bars are located in the back, but it seems that not many tourists found the road to kwang pao beach. it was really empty, and we were the only tourists we saw. at kwang pao beach...generally on the different beaches of the Khanom area mostly Thai people take their holidays. This depends on the cheap prices for resorts and restaurants, which still exist in that region.

we had wind and waves and we just moved hip deep into the water, but it was deep enough to swim, as the beach slopes gently to the sea and so kwang pao is perfect for families with small children.

The beach is well protected...at the Northend are cliffs located...at the south end there's a pier with a few seafood restaurants and shops. the vegetation directly on the beach is reduced, because behind the resorts and restaurants is where the beach road is located.

The atmosphere at kwang pao beach was really quiet and peaceful, with just the sound of the waves breaking on the shore. we were alone at the beach the whole time I was taking photos.
This is a natural heritage site too, so pink dolphins, turtles and other marine life can be in the offing.

Chillva Market- Phuket

Chillva Market Phuket is a cool, trendy night market with a somewhat bohemian vibe and an impressive selection of food and fashion stalls. Hard to miss by the side of Yaowarat Road (which runs by Tesco Lotus, on the way towards Phuket Town), the market has a distinctive look created by the use of colourful shipping containers as shopfronts.

So i went during the day when all was quiet and saw lots of the style that gives this place such a bohemian feel to it.

At the heart of the market is a small stage with a pond behind and amphitheatre in front, both of which host live performances when the market is in full swing. There's even a full size go Kart track!

Chillva Market Phuket is more popular among locals than tourists. Everything happening on stage is often completely incomprehensible to anyone not fluent in Thai.

Food vendors make up around more than half of the stalls and permanent stores at Chillva Market Phuket. You'll find funky pubs, cafes, ice cream parlours, and a wide selection of street foods. Prices are generally very low. Large servings from the market's more popular shops rarely exceed a couple of hundred baht.

Being quite small, taking a leisurely walk around Chillva Market Phuket won’t tire you out or take you half the night to explore.

Fruits De Mer- In Chalong- Phuket

On of the things about living on an Island is that your diet options expand to fresh fish!

I finally got to visiting one of my local food/morning markets and what a treat, not only the usual fruit/veg/meat but a fabulous array of shellfish and fish. Fresh from the mornings fisherman.

There are a few of these in Phuket, this is not a tourist market but a real working market for local people in Chalong.

A great place to see what there is .....and great some photography in too!

Rawai Boats

One of my peaceful moments short videos that I have finally had time to get to making.

Interestingly this was photographed this last Sunday after an unexpected visit to Rawai Beach . I spent quite a bit of time there on Sunday afternoon, and took , as I do, images to remind myself to remember a calm and enjoyable moment of life. enhanced even more by the tide going out leaving the local fishing boats stranded in the sand.

Watching people picking their way through the rocks to find small crabs and shellfish. So for anyone who might feel like a breath of fresh air, have a watch, and lose yourself somewhere beautiful in your mind!
