Ya Nui is a beautiful beach located on the southern end of Phuket Island, Thailand. It is a small beach compared to other popular beaches on the island, but it is known for its crystal-clear water and stunning views of nearby islands.

Ya Nui beach is a popular spot for swimming, snorkeling, and diving. The water is calm and clear, which makes it perfect for underwater exploration. The beach is also surrounded by coral reefs, which are home to a variety of marine life, including colorful fish, sea turtles, and even octopuses.

While Ya Nui beach is not as crowded as some of the other popular beaches on Phuket Island

The park came about following the devastation caused by Typhoon Gay back in November 1989. 529 people were killed, 160,000 became homeless, with 7,130 km2 of farm land destroyed. Under Royal Initiative a system of flood control measures were implemented.

The main flood management system is a diversion canal running from the Tha Taphap river in the west of the park to the Phanang Tak river in the east, which is near the sea. In times of heavy rain, water can be diverted through the canal preventing/reducing any flooding in the area around Chumphon town.

It is a fantastic Park and a great place to go and walk and you can also see Javan rusa deer

Its difficult to imagine a beach 6 kilometers long, but Bang Tao is just that! So here is Bang Tao II as the beach changes its beauty from one end to the other. Here is the North end of the Beach, much quieter, and fewer people. Somewhere to come and enjoy the sound of the Ocean!

Bangtao was one of the tin mines that made the fortune of Phuket long ago. They abandoned it later, and the land was considered worthless. Laguna Phuket managed to transform it into a very profitable award-winning Eco-project. In the first years, Laguna started as a luxurious complex, but it was a little isolated.

One of the best attractions on Phuket Island is our Giant Buddha on Nakkerd Hill in the town of Chalong(where I live).

Looking down on the town, i get a feeling of safety and calm when driving my partner to work, like he's watching over us all. When up there the came and quiet, and of course on sunny days the amazing views across to Chalong Bay and the Islands are in my opinion, un equaled.

Phuket's Big Buddha is one of the most important and revered landmarks on the island. The huge image sits on top of the Nakkerd Hills between Chalong and Kata and, at 45 metres tall, can be seen from as far away as Phuket Town and Karon Beach.

The lofty site offers the best 360-degree views of the island, with sweeping vistas of Phuket Town, Kata, Karon, Chalong Bay and more.

Known among Thais as the Phra Puttamingmongkol Akenakkiri Buddha,]] the main statue was built in 2004 and is 25 meters across at the base. The whole body is constructed with reinforced concrete, layered with beautiful Burmese white jade marble that shines in the sun. The views, and the actual image itself are breathtaking.

The road to Nakkerd Hills is in good condition, most parts are newly built but it has many curves and some steep climbs, which less-powerful scooters can struggle with. Some young tourists enjoy hiking up, even though it usually takes them over an hour to reach the top. Nakkerd eh?
