One of the highlights of Wat Liap Korat is its large reclining Buddha statue, which measures about 15 meters long and is located in a peaceful outdoor area surrounded by trees and flowers. The temple also has several other Buddha images, as well as a small museum that houses ancient artifacts and religious objects.

In addition to its religious significance, Wat Liap Korat is also an important cultural site in the Nakhon Ratchasima Province.

Wat Phra Hin Wanaram

@watprahinwanaram
Prachuap Khiri Khan province

Imagine me driving along the road to Huahin, when I see in the distance this beautiful white Chedi/Temple. I am on a main highway looking for the entrance to what I know will be a treat of a Wat complex.

As always here in Thailand the entrance comes upon you at short notice and short approach, screeching across loose gravel I safely make it into the compound, only to find a dirt track to drive along through several cows grazing.
Amazing Thailand!
The temple was established on August 23, 2014.

Abandoned Building- Kew Aung Tai Temple-Rawai

Also named as Kew Ong Tai De Am Rawai, I couldn't find anymore than the translation below about this place. What appeared to be a great vegetarian, community effort that ran out of funds. None the less an interesting visit and view of what might have been and what still might be one day!

Co-construct the Kew Ong Tai Tam Temple Center of Dharma Practice And eat vegetables throughout the year.
By Thewasan Kew Ong Tai Tam (Rawai) located at 60 Moo 6, Rawai Subdistrict, Mueang Phuket District It is a land belonging to the “Sukkaew” family, formerly owned by Father Lamead Sukkaew and Mother Lamead Sukkaew. sarasin Bridge - Thailand

I know I have been quiet of late, down to a busy summer trying to get a holiday and moving house.
Todays video is taken from my first day of my two week holiday! As you can see it was fighting between, shall i rain? shall I not rain? overcast and windy was not the best way to visit the Sarasin Bridge, but it has been in my sights for some while now. I could not miss the opportunity on my way off the Island. I have always looked at it and thought "how Victorian", but actually it isn not at all, but quite modern.

Unable to cope with the ever growing traffic, and the need to open up mainland Thailand to the Island, a second bridge/highway was built to take the traffic. In keeping with the Thais love of leisure, the bridge has been kept as a tourist attraction as well as servicing motorcycle crossing for locals and anyone who wants to walk it.
I loved my whole experience of the Bridge and the views are outstanding! along with the busy fishing boats. I hope you enjoy my view of the Sarasin Bridge?

Sarasin Bridge, Phuket
Coming from the Thailand mainland in Phang Nga province on Highway 402, you will need to cross a long bridge to reach the famous island of Phuket.
The bridge that originally took everyone over the ocean is named the Sarasin Bridge. It is 660 meters (722 yards) in length and was finished in 1967.
This bridge was in service as the only bridge to Phuket until 2011 when two new bridges were erected beside Sarasin Bridge on the West Side – one going south, one north.

After the new bridge was built, the Sarasin Bridge was then turned into a fishing pier and a place to walk around over the water. The old bridge still stands as a memorial to Phuket history.

Whats in a Wat

A look at the Temple structures in Thailand with images

So I am sure many people have heard of Wats, be it Thailand (the land of many Wats), or Cambodia, Burma, Laos or any other Buddhist worshipping countries.

Actually “Wat” is the word for a Buddhist temple (= a place of worship) or monastery (= a building in which monks live and worship).

Having spent a few years here in Thailand, and also having photographed many hundreds of Wats, I thought it would be interesting to share what I have found out about them and show you examples of the buildings inside the Wat complex.

We will explore structures such as Stupas, Viharns,Ubosot, and Sala’s. I hope to give them a bit more enlightenment to their names and uses and maybe a little bit of history.
Learn alll the things you wanted to know about Wats here in this link - https://true-travels.com/2019/01/27/whats-in-a-wat/
